Inadequate. Costly.
Totally neglected
Eighty percent of the schools in Sub Saharan Africa are without electricity. Most are in disrepair, with sunlight shining through a rusted roof. These schools are unreachable with the traditional educational technologies model for providing an up-to-date education to developing countries.
Inadequate
In the handful of schools where computers are used, too few computers serve large numbers of students in the face of continuous power outages.
Obsolete
Computer use occurs separate from classroom instruction and is limited to imparting basic technology skills that will be obsolete long before students enter the workforce.
